03/10/2024
Come backTen Plot Seeders have been received by affiliates of the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination (UIPVE) under Japanese Grant Assistance “The Programme for Emergency Recovery” from the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Rivne, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Poltava and Zakarpattia affiliates of UIPVE have just carried out the sowing of new varieties of winter crops (rapeseed, wheat, barley) for field experiments for Distinctness Uniformity and Stability (DUS) and Value for Use for Cultivation (VCU) testing.
The specialists of affiliates highlight the main advantages of these plot seeders as the high sowing precision, individual customization to the plot layout, significant decrease of seeds number and saving time for sowing.
Ternopil affiliate of UIPVE has already prepared for sowing. The specialist of the official dealer with employees of the affiliate have set up the plot seeder and tested it in field.
The Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination express its gratitude to people of Japan and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for provided assistance and support of the state plant varieties testing in Ukraine.
The implementation of the project is possible with support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
