WORKING WITH THE GEL DOCUMENTATION SYSTEM WITH HIGH SENSITIVITY CMOS CAMERA RECEIVED UNDER JAPANESE GRANT ASSISTANCE “THE PROGRAMME FOR EMERGENCY RECOVERY”

Come backThe employees of the Laboratory of Molecular Genetic Analysis of the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination (UIPVE) analyze the results of the electrophoresis of storage proteins of wheat, barley, maize and sunflower varieties with received the Gel Documentation System with High Sensitivity CMOS Camera under Japanese Grant Assistance “The Programme for Emergency Recovery”.
The configuration of the Gel Documentation System also allows to capture and proceed PCR analysis results which is used for the determination of genes of agronomical valuable characteristics such as drought tolerance, carotenoid content, plant diseases resistance which the laboratory provides as well. For visualization of PCR-analysis results the ultraviolet light is used, for storage protein patterns detection – white light.
The received Gel Documentation System combines different types of light emission, which allows to work both with DNA and seed storage proteins. The high Sensitivity CMOS Camera and software of pictures edition, which are the parts of the Gel Documentation System, make the process of capturing and transfer of photos ease and precise.
The Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination express its gratitude to people of Japan and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for provided assistance and support of the state plant varieties testing in Ukraine.
