Within the framework of the Fifty-eighth ordinary session of the Council of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV), the Ukrainian delegation led by the Director of the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Varieties Examination (UIPVE), deputy representative of Ukraine in the UPOV Council – Serhii Melnyk held a meeting with representatives of UPOV Ms. Yolanda Huerta – Vice Secretary-General and Mr. Leontino Taveira – Director of Global Development and Technical Affairs. The development of future cooperation between the UIPVE and UPOV on joint work on the Test Guidelines for determining the distinctiveness, uniformity and stability of finger millet, the use and exchange of information using databases and the use of digital solutions in the plant variety rights protection system were discussed.
