THE UTILIZATION OF THE REAL-TIME QUANTITATIVE THERMAL CYCLER RECEIVED UNDER JAPANESE GRANT ASSISTANCE “THE PROGRAMME FOR EMERGENCY RECOVERY”

Come backThe researches of DNA polymorphism of plant varieties are carried out in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetic Analysis of the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination (UIPVE) with using the Real-Time Quantitative Thermal Cycler received under Japanese Grant Assistance “The Programme for Emergency Recovery”.
During working with new equipment, the employees of the laboratory highlighted user-friendly interface for programming PCA experiment, the high precision of analysis and plenty of possibilities of data output. The studies of the type of maize Cytoplasmic Male Sterility (CMS) identification in maize are conducted in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetic Analysis with the Real-Time Quantitative Thermal Cycler. This characteristic is one of the important stage of distinctness determination between maize lines and their sterile analogues within DUS (Distinctness, Uniformity and stability) test.
The Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination express its gratitude to people of Japan and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for provided assistance and support of the state plant varieties testing in Ukraine.
