UIPVE International activity
International cooperation is the leading direction of UIPVE global activity. UIPVE operates through the representation at the international world-wide organizations like UPOV, joint project implementation in the field of plant variety property rights protection, membership in the multinational organizations, participation in the workshops, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and skill-sharing meetings.

Cooperation with Republic of Belarus
The Program for cooperation in the plant variety expertise sector (on 2011-2015 and 2014-2016) was signed between UIPVE and SE «State Inspection for Testing and Protection of Plant Varieties of the Republic of Belarus” http://sorttest.by. It gave an opportunity to provide skill-sharing in the plant variety expertise – DUS and post-control tests with laboratory assessment of the variety quality rating.
Within the scope of the Program the Volyn meeting between the UIPVI and Belarusian SE officials and professionals was held on the 18th of August 2016. Prolongation of the plant variety expertise Program up to 2021 was signed during the event.
Cooperation with Polish Republic
Collaboration with the Polish Research Centre for Cultivar Testing (COBORU) http://www.coboru.pl was initiated by Action Program signing in 2011. The Program includes skill-sharing activities related to the system of plant variety registration, laboratory and field testing, data processing, plant variety property rights adaptation to EU standards, etc. On the 8th of November 2015 the Program was developed and prolonged up to 2020.

2009 – Agreement between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Turkmenistan on cooperation in the field of plant variety testing and property rights protection
2006 - Agreement between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan Republic on cooperation in the field of plant variety testing and property rights protection
2004 – Agreement between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Bulgaria on cooperation in the field of DUS and VCU plant variety testing and property rights protection
2004 - Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field plant variety testing and property rights protection
2003 – Agreement between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the Department of Production of the Supreme People's Committee of the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya on cooperation in the field of plant variety testing and property rights protection
2002 – Agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and the Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on cooperation in the field of plant variety testing and property rights protection
UIPVE is active on the international stage - it participates in programs and cooperates with international organizations.
International activities of UIPVE are carried out in the national interests of Ukraine in the legal space of current and future international agreements on cooperation with foreign countries, policy directives and regulations of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
UIPVE concentrated its efforts on global cooperation strengthening in 2017.
